Within a couple of days you'll receive an email with instructions on how to activate a key that will work through July of the following year. The software will come with a key allowing its use for a limited period of time (15 days).
Follow the steps on the next page to begin the download. Enter your Anticipated Graduation date using the pulldown menus and then select Submit. The Version pulldown menu will default to the current version, but you can choose to download an older supported version. 
The Product pulldown menu will default to the only version available: Mathematica for Sites (Single Machine). If yours isn't listed, choose Other and enter it in the field. Specify your Department from the pulldown menu. You can create an account for free if you don't already have one. Login to the Wolfram User Portal for Students using your address.
